This year marks the 41st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Colombia and China and this country is a key player in the construction of the most important infrastructure project in our country, the Bogota Metro. With the aim of strengthening the ties between our city and the People's Republic of China, Bogotá joins the celebration of its New Year with activities that will allow us to learn a little more about this ancient culture.
“We want to join the New Year celebration, because we have more and more people who invest in Bogotá and come from China, they are new visitors, it is an extraordinary culture that we want to spread and accompany, so that they feel welcomed as all the migrants who come to our city”, said Mayor Claudia López, who also invited everyone to join this celebration from their homes or attending scheduled events.
With this celebration, the Chinese people and also Bogotá, welcomes the year of the Ox, a period of order, discipline, effort, work and family. To learn more about the details of this festival, which brings together billions of people around the world, the district has scheduled cultural, recreational and educational activities.
