The World Travel Awards mark the epitome of excellence in travel, tourism and hospitality businesses. They were established in 1993 and are considered to be the Oscars of the tourism industry. Recently, in its 27th edition, the awards included Bogotá as a nominee in several categories within South America.

Selection process
The winners will be selected through an online platform in which travel professionals and consumer travel buyers vote for the nominees. To cast a vote, participants must register in https://www.worldtravelawards.com/vote and log into the system. Voting dates for South America are from July 13th to September 1st.
There will be a gala in Santiago, Chile to recognize outstanding South American locations. After this, a Grand Finale gala will take place in Moscow, Russia, where regional winners will compete for the Global Awards.
