Bogotá`s Institute for the Arts (IDARTES) enabled a program of incentives for community dance projects. This strategy aspires to promote citizen-led cultural activities amid the social and economic crisis generated by the pandemic. All projects interested in receiving training in dance and advice in communication strategies must fill and submit an application form that will be evaluated by the organization.

In this respect Ana Carolina Ávila from IDARTES declared:

"This is an initiative that was born from listening to the people. We realized the need for new channels to promote the interaction between the local government and its citizens in the generation of culture through dance’’

Also, with this program, IDARTES seeks to collect data that will contribute to the formulation of public policies for the dance sector.

¿How to apply?

If you are part of a community, group or company that endorses collective action through dance please fill this form.

All applications will be evaluated based on the viability of the initiatives and their contribution to the communities. The selected projects will receive training and advice to bolster their production skills and diffusion campaigns.

It is important to point out that this program does not contemplate direct financial support. If you require this type of incentive, you must apply through the 2020 Stimulus Portfolio.
