2020 was an unprecedented year, since its beginning it was transformed by a health crisis that continues to have the world in suspense and it required Bogotá to mobilize as a society with culture and citizen intelligence to face the challenges that the pandemic brought with it, as well as to adapt to the changes.
The city learned about its vulnerability but also about its resilience. For this reason, in the 2020 balance, it is worth highlighting the recognitions that Bogotá had in such an unpredictable year in which each and every one of the entities of the District worked against the clock to face the challenges of COVID-19. Due to all this and despite the difficulties, the year ended with positive results for the city, and with several national and international recognitions for the management of the district administration; In the words of Mayor Claudia López, in the balance of 2020 that she made for Canal Capital, she highlighted one of the great strengths of the city which avoided major effects in the city due to the pandemic, “It was a year of many learnings, a year in which Bogotá demonstrated the civic culture that it carries in its DNA "
