Bogotá, My City, My Home’  is solidifying its reputation as a growing, world-class tourist destination. The numbers speak for themselves: between January and July 2024, the city saw a 5.0% increase in international visitors, welcoming over one million tourists who chose our city as their destination.

This was confirmed by the latest report from the Tourism Observatory of the Bogotá Tourism Institute (IDT), which highlights the most significant figures on tourism growth, the rise in international travelers, and more data.

The United States, Venezuela, and Mexico top the list of countries of origin, demonstrating the growing global appeal of ‘Bogotá, My City, My Home.’

The boost in tourism is also reflected in other indicators: the number of passengers at Bogotá's Transport Terminal increased by 11.3%, while the availability of flights to the capital at El Dorado Airport grew by 17.4% compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, hotel occupancy rates remain strong, exceeding the national average by 10.3 percentage points in the first half of 2024.

With over 11,700 registered tourism service providers, the capital not only positions itself as a preferred destination but also as an economic engine that creates opportunities and jobs for thousands of people.
