Far from the conventional tourist routes, these destinations are designed for specific market segments, tailoring experiences to the individual interests of each traveler, offering personalized adventures that reflect the city's diverse cultural richness.

This was confirmed by the Director of the District Institute of Tourism (IDT), Andrés Santamaría, during the fourth edition of the Cotelco campaign "Stay in Bogotá and Discover It."

"My responsibility is to ensure that Bogotá offers dynamic, innovative, and high-quality tourism that attracts more visitors, thereby increasing spending and boosting the city's economy," he stated.

Community Tourism as a Pillar of Development

Community tourism is emerging as one of the most significant new destinations in Bogotá. Currently, a network of 15 collectives in the upper part of Ciudad Bolívar offers a wide range of cultural and gastronomic activities, where visitors can explore La Cuadra del Color, Alameda del Parque Illimani, and the Museo de la Ciudad Autoconstruida.

Culinary and Cultural Attractions

Another destination capturing attention is the Corabastos Market, the second-largest market square in Latin America. This vibrant market, operating 24/7, features 5,000 commercial outlets, including restaurants serving traditional Colombian cuisine, that allows tourists to immerse themselves in Bogotá's rich culinary heritage.

For art and culture enthusiasts, the San Felipe Creative District and the Expanded Graffiti District are must-see stops. The San Felipe District boasts over 25 spaces, including workshops, galleries, and other artistic venues, complemented by a diverse gastronomic offering. In the same area, visitors can explore fashion studios, craft breweries, and cafes, enriching the cultural experience even further.

A City Leading in Diversity and Inclusion

Bogotá also stands out as a destination that celebrates and educates about the rich history of the LGBTI community and other significant historical processes in the city. This inclusive tourist offering underscores the city's commitment to diversity and equity.

Nature and Sports Tourism

Nature and sports tourism also hold a prominent place in this new tourist offering. The Huertera Route in Suba and the Rural Tourism Network in districts like Ciudad Bolívar, Usme, Usaquén, and Santa Fe, offer activities such as hiking in the Eastern Hills and bike tours, with stops at peace houses that provide visitors with a unique perspective on the natural and social environment of the capital.

With this approach, "Bogotá, My City, My Home" is reinventing itself and positioning itself as one of the top tourist destinations for travelers worldwide.
