The Mayor's Office of Bogotá took second place in the Social Media category, for the Best Government Campaign on Social Media, in the eighth version of the 2020 Latam Digital Awards

The Latam Digital Awards, led by the Interlat Digital Enterprise Intelligence company, are awarded with the aim of creating and recognizing the digital culture that exists in Latin America.

"Facing COVID-19: a digital strategy" is the social media campaign for which the Mayor's Office of Bogotá received recognition in the 2020 Latam Digital awards. This campaign was launched by the team in the Department of Communications of the Mayor´s Office in early 2020, when the global emergency due to the coronavirus prompted Mayor Claudia López to carry out the first vital drill in the history of Bogotá, in order to save lives.

Over the following months and in accordance with the demands brought by the global health emergency, the social media team continued to articulate the content to keep citizens informed about the different measures that were being adopted by the district administration, to face the management of the pandemic in the Colombian capital.
