Bogotá’s SaluData innitiative takes first place in the Ibero-American Capital Cities Union (UCCI) award for Innovation. SaluData is a digital open-data platform that collects, analyzes and disseminates information on the city's health situation. It takes advantage of the consolidation of the unified COVID-19 information network.
According to UCCI, "SaluData stands out as a transformative initiative, and has had a significant impact in terms of improving the quality of life of citizens in the context of the crisis." This project stands out as an innovative public policy which can be replicated in other Ibero-American cities.
In its inauguration year, the UCCI considers 26 applicants from every corner of Latin America. Buenos Aires finished in second with its initiative ‘Boti, the chatbot of the city of Buenos Aires”.

The Ibero-American Innovation Award 2021 is awarded by the UCCI in association with the José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation (FOM), in recognition of the innovative public management responses to the challenges generated by the COVID-19 pandemic in line with the 2030 Agenda.
About the award
The Bogotá Mayor’s Office will receive the opportunity to access the course "Innovative models of city management" taught by the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute during the months of September and October of this year.
