Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport continues to strengthen its leadership as a world-class air terminal in Latin America and beyond. In Paris, France, the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) officially certified El Dorado with the Blue Dot Seal, making it the first airport globally—and the first infrastructure project in Colombia—to earn this international distinction for sustainable infrastructure and strong social responsibility policies.

The OECD Blue Dot Seal is a global quality certification granted to infrastructure projects that excel in environmental sustainability, transparency, governance, social inclusion, and contributions to national economic development.
To earn this recognition, the airport met strict international standards in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
“Today we take another step in our commitment to more transparent, sustainable infrastructure aligned with the highest international standards. This seal validates high-quality projects that inspire global investment through impact and trust. It reflects the work of a team dedicated to doing things right and with purpose,” said Natalí Leal, General Manager of OPAIN, the operator of Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport.
The Blue Dot certification adds to other accolades the airport has received this year, including the Platinum Award from Cirium for operational excellence, and its seventh overall and fourth consecutive recognition as South America’s Best Airport, according to Skytrax.
About the OECD’s Blue Dot Network
The Blue Dot Network provides internationally recognized certification for high-quality infrastructure projects that are environmentally and socially sustainable, resilient, open, transparent, and economically efficient.
Supported by a global, multi-stakeholder community, the network brings together governments, investors, businesses, civil society, and labor organizations to promote quality infrastructure.
To obtain certification, projects must meet core requirements across 10 key elements of the Blue Dot Network, covering essential ESG dimensions of quality infrastructure investment.
