Cultural activities are unstoppable in a vibrant city like Bogotá, even during the lockdown. As proof, here are several public measures taken by the Secretary of Culture and its adjoining entities which have kept the city's cultural scene alive during this difficult time.

The Idartesencasa.gov.co platform was launched, sharing a wide range of activities for enjoying Bogotá s culture.

The strategy Desde mi Casa was launched, where artists and citizens in general can share their daily actions, recorded with their cell phones and can be published on Canal Capital.

The Reading at Home initiative proposed by the Biblio Red network was created to generate gathering around words, to stimulate children´s interaction through orality and reading and to strengthen emotional ties between parents and children.

Cultural entities of the city are broadcasting exclusive cultural content through all its digital platforms. Such is the case of the District Cinematheque, Bogota’s Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Remembrance, Peace and Reconciliation Center.

A wide variety of grants and contests has been opened in order to ensure that artists and other creatives in Bogotá are able to maintain their livelihoods during the lockdown, a time when concerts, theaters and other entertainment venues will be closed.
