On October 20th, the initiation act of the First Metro Line in Bogotá was signed, Claudia López and the National Government signed the initiation act to begin works on the first line of the Bogota Metro, a route of 24 kilometers, which will have 16 stations that will go from the Portal de las Américas to Calle 72 and Avenida Caracas.
Recently, several mobility experts from the region have celebrated the arrival of the Metro system to Bogotá, among them the mobility expert Ana Laura Morais, planning director of the Panama Metro.
Regarding the successes in the planning strategy and as an international expert in urban transport, she highlighted, “I am in love with the Bogotá Metro because this is a project where the city is ahead, where a lot will be invested in the recovery of public spaces and create a real partnership between citizen development and mobility; and not all cities have had the opportunity to propose these projects like this ”.
