The Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia reported the assignation of the auditing contract of Bogotá´s first metro line to the PLMB consortium. The article explains that this consortium made up of Colombian, Italian and Spanish companies is currently led by the Andalusian multinational Ayesa.

La Vanguardia highlights that the construction of Bogotá´s metro is one of the most expected infrastructure projects in Latin America. Despite the size of the city and its strategic importance, Bogotá is the only capital city in the region that does not have a transportation system of this nature.

In this context, Mayor Claudia López reaffirmed her commitment to developing this project and the construction of a multimodal and sustainable transportation system.

Additionally, the article indicates that this infrastructure work will cost USD 3,5 billion and that Ayesa's auditing contract was signed for USD 65 million.
