The Ibero-American Cities network portal highlighted Bogotá's inclusion as a member of the CoST Infrastructure Transparency Initiative.

The note explains the commitments and duties that Bogotá acquires by being part of this organization in terms of transparency, “Those who join this initiative commit to disclose information and open data on specific infrastructure projects that are carried out with public resources. The financial data, schedules and other details are made available so that citizens can demand accountability from the government and the private sector and be part of the projects”.

"The inclusion of Bogota in CoST is an expression of the firm commitment to increase transparency in infrastructure projects by the city of Bogotá", explained the general secretary of Bogotá, Margarita Barraquer regarding the initiative.

The efforts to join the initiative respond to the commitments established in the transparency decree in August 2020 and the plea of Bogota’s development plan of becoming a more transparent city for its citizens.
